Cookie Policy
Last updated: 24 September 2026
Validor uses the smallest possible number of cookies: the ones needed to run the app, plus one measurement cookie that tells us whether an advert led to a sign-up.
What we use
- Sign-in cookies: keep you signed in so you don't have to type your password on every page. They are removed when you sign out.
- Preference storage: remembers small choices on your own device — dark or light mode, whether you have seen the welcome tour, and whether you dismissed the install prompt.
- Offline copy of your documents: stored on your device so the app opens instantly and works without a connection.
Advertising measurement
When we run adverts, a Google Ads measurement cookie tells us whether a visit that came from an advert ended in a sign-up, and helps Google show our adverts to people more likely to find Validor useful. The data goes to Google Ads (Google Ireland Limited). It never includes your documents, expiry dates, or the contents of your account.
In the UK, the EEA and Switzerland this only happens if you choose Accept on the cookie notice. If you choose Decline, nothing is sent. Elsewhere it runs by default and you can switch it off at any time.
What we do not use
- No cookies that read or share the contents of your documents.
- No selling of your data to anyone.
Changing your choice
You can change your mind at any time — your new choice applies immediately, in every tab.
You can also clear cookies and site data in your browser settings. Clearing them signs you out of Validor and resets your preferences on that device — your documents stay safe in your account.
